What is more, you should double check your list with your professors in order to have the right edition. Sometimes, editions are really different from one another. Additionally, the assignments may differ. You may start lagging behind if the books are different.
And finally, do not try to buy one book for two or more people. Sometimes you and your roommate will have different selections of books and classes. Even if you have the same book required by the professor it does not mean that you do not need your personal textbook you will use in your time.
